What's a sheet?
A sheet is similar to an excel file, your data is contained in the sheet. Let's say you need to track the inventory information in your warehouse, you can create a sheet and keep adding items to that sheet.
How to create a sheet?
To create a new sheet, follow the steps:
On the popup modal, set a name and a meaningful description about the usage of this sheet.
Sheet Type: Template Based, Non Template Based.
There are two ways to create a new sheet:
Template Based: Suppose you have created a template for tracking inventory(If not, tap the Templates tab on the bottom of app), which contains fields such as Barcode, SKU, Quantity, etc. Then you can create one or more sheets based on this template, so that you can enter Barcode (using our automatic scanning, you don't need to enter the barcode manually), SKU, Quantity and other data to the sheet. If you need track data other than inventory, just create the different templates. Very flexible and convenient.
Non Template Based: In this method, you do not need to create a template in advance, you can create the sheet directly, and then when you add items, you add the fields simultaneously, or modify the added fields.
In the above screenshot, the first option Template Based is chosen, but there are no templates available, so either choose Non Template Based or, tap the 'Create Template' button to create a template. After done, go back to creat the sheet. Check the template page to know how to create a new template.
Template Based Sheet
Let's say you already have a template called 'Inventory Track' with fields Barcode/SKU/Title/Quantity/Price/Purchased Date/Supplier/Amount. To create a sheet based on this template:
Tap Create button, if nothing goes wrong, such as duplicate sheet name, the sheet will be created. You would see your just created sheet Inventory Track 003 on the sheets tab:
The template name tells what's the template the sheet based. Tap the template name, it will popup the fields in this template, where we can manage the template fields. Check the template doc to know more details about template and fields management.
When you add item to this sheet, you would see all the fields from the based template. The badges tell the field type, is required, is barcode. To learn more about how to add items, check doc Items.
Non Template Based Sheet
To create a Non Template Based sheet, choose the second option: Non Template Based.
Tap Create button, if nothing goes wrong, such as duplicate sheet name, the sheet will be created. You would see your just created sheet:
Note the badge 'Non-Template'.
When you add item to this sheet, you would see like this:
Since it's a Non Template Based sheet, there is no field, you need to create the fields simultaneously. Create one field, add the value. Create the next field, add the value, repeat this process. You can also add all fields at once, then provide the values. By the way, you just need to add the fields for your first item. All subsequent items do not need to add the fields again. To learn more about how to add items to the Non Template Based sheet, check doc Items.
Manage sheets
Tapping the vertical ellipsis icon on each sheet, from the menu:
View Item
You can view/modify/delete the items in this sheet. To learn more about items management, check doc Items.
Edit
Change the sheet's name and description.
Lock
To prevent accidental operations on items, you can lock the sheet. Once locked, you can no longer edit items in that sheet. The locked badge indicates that.
You can still unlock the sheet from the menu.(once locked, the menu become unlock, vice versa)
Export
Tap the Export, it pops up a modal to invite you to manipulate your sheets on web app, the mobile app is more used for data collection. In the web app, we provide a lot of rich data manipulation features (some are under developing). You only need to log in to the web app in the same way as you log in to the mobile app.
Archive
If you have many sheets and some of them may not in use anymore, but you still don't want to delete it. You can archive it. the Archived sheets can be found under the Archived segment. Note: you cannot re-open an archived sheet or change anything on it.
Delete
If you really don't need the sheet and even not necessary to archive it for reference, you can delete them. With the confirmation, all the items in that sheet will be removed permanently. There is no way to get it back.
